Your guest house in the Ecuadorian Choco
Oasis of charm and tranquility in the wild of the Ecuadorian Choco.
The Quinta de Goulaine is an untouched tropical forest of 50 hectares at 460 masl / 1,510 fasl. We have refurbished our wooden house, built a large bungalow to receive our guests.
At the entrance of the property, you will discover our tropical fruits, our cocoa plantation and our butterfly farm.
This project was born in France where we acquired our know-how in welcoming guests while preserving the environment.
Butterflies are a childhood and a family passion and it seemed important to us to contribute to the preservation of this forest, unique in biodiversity and not as well-known as the Amazonian forest.
Our accommodations
You can choose from three simple and comfortable rooms in the main house with a shared bathroom. In the bungalow, close to the house, we have two double bedrooms with balconies overlooking the forest with a bathroom each. We have designed the furniture ourselves and decorated the rooms in harmony with the surrounding nature. Everything has been thought of to ensure that our guests can rest and relax. You will feel the family atmosphere!
The best of the quinta
Our open-plan kitchen and dining room overlooking the forest is the ideal place where we cook a simple local flavoured cuisine, typical dishes such as "palmito ceviche, grilled fish with plantain and cassava", as well as desserts like: Esmeraldas chocolate mousse or our specialty: the mandarin lemon tart, where we also get together to exchange our experiences of the day. Fresh fruit juices, wines and craft beers are also available to accompany your meals.
